MEMORY (CONCENTRATION)
Memory is classic game enjoyed by kids throughout time. Not only do most kids and adults find this game entertaining, but it’s a great way to practice memory and concentration skills. These skills are needed throughout school, work, and life.
Materials Needed
To play memory, a standard deck of 52 cards will be needed. Jokers can be used if desired.
Before Play
To set up before play, shuffle the cards. Now lay them all face-down on the table so that none of them overlap.
How to Play
The concept of memory is fairly simple. The first player turns over two cards from any two positions. If those 2 cards match, the player then collects them and sets them to the side. He may choose two more cards, as a reward for getting the match. The other players must see a match to verify that it was made. If the cards do not match, the player must then let them sit for a few seconds, so other players may see and then turn them over.
The next player (and so on) continues in the same fashion until all matches have been made.
