Extra Examples and Instructions:
Baby Shower Memory is a variation of the classic game, made specifically for baby showers. It combines the traditional Memory game with trivia about baby and mom.
Materials
To play Baby Shower Memory, you’ll need a standard deck of baby shower themed cards, a list of questions about the mom and baby for the moderator to ask, and a blank sheet of paper and pencil for each player.
Getting Started
To set up Baby Shower Memory, set up the game just like regular Memory. However, in addition to the memory cards being set up, each player also needs to have apiece of paper and a pencil. The more players you have, the more cards you will need.
How to Play Baby Shower Memory
Follow the same instructions as the traditional Memory game, except there is a twist. When each person takes their turn, if the cards are not matched, the person still has a chance at getting extra points at the end.
If the cards are not a match, the moderator asks the player a trivia question related to the mom or baby. The player then writes down the question number (given by the moderator) and his or her answer.
Game play then continues with the next player and so on. Players must remember to write down the number, as well as the answer. They will be important at the end of the game. Once all the cards have been matched, all players will count all of their cards and write down that total.
After the cards are totaled, the moderator will read aloud the answers to all the questions that were used, so everyone can check their answers. Each correct answer counts as 2 points. Add the number of correct answers to the number of card matches. Whoever has the highest total between the two is the winner.
