Pages 2-5 are the Game Pieces. (Note: Larger puzzles might have more Game Piece pages.)
Game Preparation, before the Easter Dinner or Easter Get-Together:
1)Set aside the Finished Puzzle page.
2)Cut the pages of Game Pieces into squares, along the straight lines (that is, do not cut out the actual jigsaw puzzle piece).
3)Put all the squares in a bowl to be drawn out
4)Gather pairs of scissors. If you do not have enough scissors, visit your local dollar store.
At the time planned to do your Easter game:
1)As the guests arrive, have them pick a Game Piece from the bowl or whatever you have the Game Pieces in. (Alternative idea – place the puzzle piece squares in plastic Easter Eggs and have a Easter Egg hunt. Each guest finds one Easter Egg, and opens it to get their puzzle piece. Continue the game from this point.)
2)If there are more Game Pieces than guests, distribute the leftover Game Pieces as evenly as possible.
3)Distribute the scissors and have the guests cut out their individual Game Piece. If you don’t have enough scissors, then have your guests share. (Alternative ideas: Have a cutting table set up and have each guest take turns going to the table to cut their puzzle piece.)
4)Now, have the guests find their Jigsaw Puzzle Matches! Each guest must find the two or three other guests who have pieces that fit into the Game Piece.
5)When a guest finds all the matches to their Game Piece, they put their Game Piece onto the Finished Puzzle. The first one wins a prize! However, have everyone finish the game so that everyone has time to mingle. (If the game is being played by children, then have a party favor gift for each one as they put their puzzle piece on the finished puzzle.)

Deck of Card & Matching Game Printing Tips:
Printer Friendly Link
While the playing cards can be
printed on standard computer paper, Printable Shop has these printing tips to
make your use of our playing cards more enjoyable!
Tip 1:Print on heavyweight Card Stock to make the cards
stronger. Card stock is available in office supply stores like Office Depot or
Staples, and can usually be found in discount stores like Wal-Mart and Target.
You can use any color you wish, but Printable Shop suggests that you use soft
colors like beige or light colors.
Tip 2:Print a
design on the blank side of the cards! After printing the cards but before
cutting the cards apart, re-insert the printed cardsback into the
printer’s paper tray/slot so that it will print on the blank side of the paper.
Print one of
Printable Shop’s craft paperdesigns on the blank
side. Repeat for each sheet of playing cards. Note: Each printer is different,
so you may need to experiment with a single sheet of playing cards to determine
how to put the paper back into the printer so that it will print on the blank
side.
Tip 3:If you need two decks of cards, then print one deck
with one design on the back of the cards, and the other deck with another design
on the back of the cards. This will help you to sort the decks after you finish
playing the two-deck game.
Tip 4: If you don’t have much time, then the sheet of cards
can be cut in half, and then cut in half again rather than trimming the cards
along the heavy black outline. The cards will have square edges, instead of
rounded edges. For smaller children, the bigger cards may be easier to handle.
Tip 5: We offer a
lamination tutor for those who want to make the cards more durable.
Laminating the cards also makes the cards sturdier and easier to handle.
Game Instructions:
Matching Games - Mix up the cards and lay them face down on the table in rows.
